Artist's Biography
Wiley Cotton is a retired business executive and small business owner who decided being an accomplished woodworker was more fulfilling than being retired. Immediately upon moving from the big city to the rural mountain community of Waynesville, NC, he established Wiley's Woodworks and enrolled in Haywood Community College as a full-time student. He graduated with honors in 2020 with a two-year associate's degree in Professional Crafts - Wood. His primary goals are developing a diverse product line with a décor theme of mountain rustic and connecting with his local community to generate commission work for custom pieces.
He has been featured in WOOD magazine, July 2020, the largest circulation magazine in the United States for woodworking. His works have been exhibited at:
